Is your child ready for a little FUN this August! We have a few spots available for the last month of summer. Please read the letter to families below for information on how our staff is working to keep all of us healthy and safe.
NEWS FROM BICCC CONCERNING COVID 19
May 20, 2020
Dear BICCC Families,
WE MISS YOU! This has been a long road and we are hoping that state restrictions will start being lifted and we can all see each other again soon!
Gov. Inslee has recommended that Kitsap County apply to the DOH to start phase 2. Hopefully that will happen soon. In the meantime, BICCC remains diligent in carrying out safety precautions to keep everyone healthy. Daily temperatures are still being taken and modified sign-in procedures are in place so fewer people enter the building. Rigorous sanitizing, hand washing and social distancing (as much as we can with kids) efforts have proven to be successful and will remain in place. If kids continue to be isolated when they’re at home, and staff continues that as well, then BICCC remains a safe circle. Thankfully, we have been operating since mid-March with this plan in place and it is working. This will not change as Kitsap enters phases 2-4.
We continue to be open from 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday. We will continue with those hours until our parents reenter the work force and need early hours for child care. We are starting our summer program on June 22 for school-aged kids. The sign up forms are available at the new campus, online, and via email (Children’s Center is not affected by summer registration). We are excited to provide our summer themes and see more of our beloved students back.
It certainly takes a village! I am thankful for the diligence and awareness of our staff and the extra time they spend keeping us safe. We will be closed on June 19 for a deep and thorough cleaning before the summer agenda begins.
We hope to see more of you as we baby step into Phases 2-4. Please contact myself or the Directors with any questions or concerns. We are committed to you and will do everything to keep all of us safe and healthy. Again, there are not enough words to express how much we miss all of you. We cannot wait to get this behind us and enjoy our beautiful BICCC as a whole again.
